Key Responsibilities:

:: Acting as the main point of contact for volunteers, providing ongoing support, guidance, and feedback; and fostering a positive and inclusive volunteer environment where everyone feels valued and motivated.

:: Managing volunteer schedules to ensure that all shifts and events are adequately staffed.

:: Onboarding and Training new volunteers, including orientation sessions, training, and matching volunteers to appropriate roles based on their skills and interests.

:: Maintaining accurate records of volunteer information, including contact details, availability, and roles. Track volunteer hours and contributions for reporting and recognition purposes.

:: Communication: regularly communicating with volunteers by email and phone to keep them informed about upcoming events, opportunities, and our news.

Additional responsibilities may include:

:: Assisting in the coordinating volunteer activities, including fundraising events, animal care, and community outreach programmes.

:: Developing ways to attract new volunteers through community outreach, social media, and local partnerships.

:: Volunteer Recognition: exploring ways we can best recognise our volunteers’ contributions.

Requirements:

:: A passion for animals and commitment to the mission of Happy Landings.

:: Availability for flexible hours, ideally 3-7 hours per week.

:: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of volunteers.

:: Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities effectively.

:: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with people from various backgrounds.

:: Previous experience in volunteer management, human resources, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
