Meet Winnie

Winnie is a gorgeous, purebred working-line Labrador Retriever looking for her forever home. At 5 years old, she is an intelligent, loyal, and affectionate girl with so much to offer the right family.

Winnie came into our care from an unfortunate situation that has sadly affected how she feels in certain circumstances. Through no fault of her own, she will require a very specific home with someone who understands her needs and is committed to helping her continue to build her confidence.

Ideally, Winnie would thrive with someone experienced in working breeds, particularly working Labradors or gundogs, who can appreciate her intelligence, trainability, and natural instincts. However, we would also consider a dedicated and patient adopter who is willing to put the time and effort into supporting Winnie with the challenges she currently faces. We are confident that, with the right guidance and understanding, Winnie can continue to make excellent progress and overcome her fears.

We believe Winnie has previously been trained as a gundog due to her exceptional obedience, eagerness to work, and impressive intelligence. She has excellent recall, enjoys being off lead in appropriate environments, knows a wide range of commands, and forms a strong, loyal bond with her handler.

Winnie is the kind of dog who can accompany her handler almost anywhere thanks to her incredible ability to listen, focus, and behave appropriately. Her working performance is phenomenal, and she clearly thrives when given a job to do. For this reason, we are looking for a home that understands the needs of working Labradors and is committed to continuing the active, fulfilling lifestyle she enjoys.

Routine, structure, and training are where Winnie truly shines. She loves learning, enjoys working alongside her person, and is highly responsive to guidance and direction. Beyond her impressive working ability, Winnie is also a very loving and affectionate dog who forms deep connections with her handler and enjoys being part of their daily life.
