This statement sets out Happy Landing’s approach to safeguarding. Protecting people (as well as our animals) is central to our culture; we aim to do everything we reasonably can to safeguard and support our staff, volunteers, and supporters.
The Trustees commit to:
- following safeguarding statutory and good practice guidance
- sets out any identified risks and how they will be managed in its risk register
- regularly reviewing and communicate its safeguarding policy/procedure, which is applicable to trustees, staff, partners and volunteers
- ensuring the policy/procedure clearly advise people on how to spot and report concerns promptly
- being quick to respond to, log, and investigate any concerns raised
- taking concerns seriously and not downplaying them
- recruiting people who are safe and suitable to act in their respective roles
- maintaining a balanced trustee board where each trustee feels able to speak up
If you have any queries on how to make a disclosure or need additional information on how Happy Landings meets its safeguarding obligations, please contact office@happy-landings.org.uk.
