OUR TRUSTEES:

RACHEL – TRUSTEE

Meet our specialist HR trustee, Rachel.

Passionate about animal welfare, Rachel advocates for our mission to provide safe, permanent homes for neglected or abandoned animals. She has had two rescue cats of her own – one from Romania and one from Hampshire – and feels strongly about helping animals find caring, loving homes for life.

The less skills we have to pay for through volunteer support, the more money we have to rescue and rehome animals.’
Rachel Jamieson

In addition to her trustee responsibilities, Rachel advocates public support for Happy Landings, emphasising the importance of volunteer contributions. She believes that individuals with skills in animal care, administration, fundraising, IT, and other fields can make a real and meaningful impact on the work we do.

“The less skills we have to pay for through volunteer support, the more money we have available to rescue and rehome animals. This could be a regular commitment or support with one-off projects. If you cannot volunteer, then money or other donations, e.g. dog food, are of course always welcome.”

Away from Happy Landings. Rachel works as an HR Manager at a hospital charity in Hampshire. She has previously held HR roles with two other charities, so understands the challenges charities face.
