Meet Fenton
Therapy-giving, rosette-winning Fenton wasn’t always a calming influence; but since finding his forever home, he has overcome difficulties and become a Pets as Therapy dog.
Fenton was rescued and rehomed by Happy Landings two years ago. Back then, he could be a bit of a handful, but with training, and the love and care shown to him by his new family, Fenton found his feet and has become an integral part of the community, working as a Pets As Therapy dog.
“He was a difficult dog when we first brought him home, and we went through many dog trainers” explains his new family. “To see him working as a therapy dog is wonderful. We are so proud of him”
Fenton is now a regular visitor to two care homes and a primary school, where he helps bring smiles and laughter. His achievements don’t end there. He was recently entered into the Somerset and Dorset greyhound dog show, where he came home with a number of winning ribbons including:
* Best dog (1st)
* Best in show (1st)
* Best rescue (2nd)
* Best crossbreed (2nd)
Just look how proud he is with all his trophies and rosettes!
We are certain Fenton will continue to bring joy (and shiny ribbons) in the years to come! Well done Fenton. And a huge thank you to his family for sharing his story.
