Lunch raises £220 in support of our work
An awarness-boosting lunch has raised £220 for Happy Landings.
Hosted by one of our trustees, the event saw 10 Somerset locals came together for a heartwarming fundraising lunch that transformed a simple gathering into a powerful force for good.
Hosted by one of our trustees, the event saw 10 Somerset locals came together for a heartwarming fundraising lunch that transformed a simple gathering into a powerful force for good.
Beyond the delicious country-kitchen homemade food that was enjoyed, the event was a catalyst for meaningful conversations and connections and saw attendees learn more about our animal rescue work and engage in discussions that echoed with compassion and a shared commitment to the well-being of animals in need.
The event adopted a pyramid style model, with each diner contributing £20 and invited to hold their own fundraising lunch, with the intention of creating a cascading effect of support and contributions.
Inspired by the work we do, a number of particpants expressed their wish to set up direct debit in aid of Happy Landings as a way of offering a sustained contribution to our sanctuary’s work.
A huge ‘thank you’ from us to everyone involved.
“And now, when you commission a piece, you’ll not only receive a beautiful watercolour painting of your pet or pets, you’ll be helping support the work of animal charity Happy Landings, because 10% of my fee will go direct to support its work.”
