Meet Sonny

Sonny is a 5-year-old Lurcher looking for his forever home.

Sonny came into our care because his owner was sadly no longer able to keep him. From day one, Sonny has shown us just how much love he has to give. He is always positive, full of beans and ready to make the most of life!

This young man really is the sweetest boy in town. Despite whatever his past may have held, Sonny has taken everything in his stride and has never allowed it to affect his amazing temperament. He is an affectionate, intelligent and happy boy who simply wants to be part of someone's life.

The Home Sonny Needs

Sonny is looking for an active home with both the time and space to give him the life he deserves.

He would love a family who enjoys being outdoors, going on adventures and making the most of every day. He would also enjoy a home that is interested in dog training, activities or trying new things together.

Sonny absolutely thrives when he is around his humans, so having people who want to spend plenty of time with him will be very important. He isn't looking for a life where he is left to his own devices — he wants to be your companion and be involved in all the fun!

Sonny is great with other dogs, including small dogs. As we don't have much information about his previous life, we believe he could be suitable to live with other friendly, dog-savvy dogs who understand how to share their home with a new canine companion.

An experienced Lurcher home would be ideal, although previous Lurcher experience is not essential for the right family.

Important Information

Sonny could potentially live with children over the age of 13.

Due to his prey drive, Sonny is not suitable to live with cats or other small animals.

He will need a home that can provide him with plenty of companionship, exercise, enrichment and opportunities to be involved in family life.

Sonny is an all-round amazing boy — intelligent, affectionate, fun and full of life. All he wants now is to finally settle into his forever home, where he can feel safe, loved and wanted, and start the beautiful life he deserves
