Meet Smartie
Smartie was brought to us as a juvenile kitten-cat, scared of everyone and everything. He had been someone`s pet originally, but had been dumped for some reason and left to fend for himself.
He struggled to make friends and to trust in a cattery environment so was with us for quite a while. We taught him to interact confidently with us with toys, and finally reached a point where he loved fusses from a couple of staff and volunteers that he knew well and trusted.
He remained very suspicious of new people so most people were put off him. Lucky for him, a lovely family could see the potential in him – we always knew he`d make a relaxed lap cat in the end!
